Sam Tet Secondary School
Sam Tet Secondary School Marching Band & Wind Orchestra (commonly known as Sam Tet Brass Band) is a musical group in the Sam Tet Secondary School, Ipoh, Malaysia that plays the complete range of wind and percussion instruments. It was established on 28th February 1973 by one of the school’s erstwhile teacher, Mr. Joseph Wong Min Fa with the support from the contemporary school principal, Brother John Moh. The band plays the role as both concert band and marching band for the school throughout the years.
Currently, our school principal is Mr. Chan Kok Wai, who is constantly supporting us throughout our journey. In addition, our band’s head teacher advisor, Madam Hwong Wai Fong, is also playing a crucial role in leading our band. Next up, our band director is none other than Mr. Lam Chee Choong, who also happens to be one of the graduated alumni from Sam Tet Brass Band.
For now, we have a team consisting of 124 members, whose ages range from 13 to 19 years old. And now coming to you, we would like to present our great interest and passion for music by showing you what we have achieved so far, as we always go by our motto: “One Band One Sound!”
