Orkiestra OSP Nadarzyn
The founder and conductor of the Orchestra is Mirosław Chilmanowicz.
Founded in 1998, the orchestra is considered one of the best brass band orchestras in Poland and the world. This is confirmed by the numerous prizes and awards won at festivals and competitions, at home and abroad. The musicians perform both in concert halls and in dynamic parade drill shows.
It has performed at international festivals in Oman, Thailand, the USA, Mexico, China, Vietnam, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, as well as in Malta, Ukraine, Germany, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Russia, Greece, Italy, earning great praise from juries and audiences each time.
The orchestra is a three-time Polish Champion in the competitions: "Stage Concerto", "Parade Drill" and "Marching", and World Champion in the "Street Parade" competition.
The orchestra has been featured in many popular television programs, and has carried out joint artistic projects with renowned stars of the Polish stage, This year the orchestra performed with pop star Dawid Podsiadło during concerts at the largest stadiums in Poland, which gathered over half a million spectators.
Its rich repertoire includes a great number of Polish and world music standards, which are a cross-section of many musical genres, ranging from classical music to modern arrangements of popular, jazz and film music.
The orchestra has recorded 7 CDs.
The Minister of Culture and National Heritage has awarded the Orchestra with the decoration "Meritorious for Polish Culture."
The orchestra's activities are financed mainly from the budget of the Nadarzyn Municipality, as well as donations received from external sponsors.
