Ratchasima Witthayalai
The Band was established in 1927 named as “Traewong” (Brass Band), which Mr. Luean Banlengsano, who was Phrajenduriyang’s student, had taught the band. In 1959 – 1960, It changed to Marching Band and competed in Thai Scout Music Devision. The band had been continuously improved respectively by many teachers: Mr. Witthawat Klihmuenwai, Mr. Patchamin Ruysungnern, and Mr. Ekkapon Prasertsin. Since 2010, Miss. Jariyawan Yindeeram has taught and improved the band.
The Ratchasima Witthayalai School Marching Band has attended the competitions of national marching and international marching competitions since 1988. The band has continuously won the golden medals. The highest honorably national prize that the band has won is the winner cup of King Rama IX. There are many prizes of the greatest honorable winner as follows: the cup of Princess Ubolratana Rajakanya in 2006, the winner cup of Her Royal Highness Maha Chakri Sirindhorn in 2017, and the internationally highest honorable prize of the winner in the World Music Competition (WMC) awarded in Netherland in 1989 and 1992. Years later,
the band was invited as the representative of Thailand to perform in order to exchange cultures in Japan, Cambodia, and China respectively. Furthermore, 2019 the band won the golden medal of Doubble Champ in the World Marching Challenge hold in Germany and Italy. The latest occasion in 2022, the band was invited to attend the four-institute marching, Bangkok-Korat, by the Bangkok governor, Mr. Chatchat Sitthipan.
Now the Ratchasima Witthayalai School Marching Band has been practicing in order to serve the institute and the public and for preparation in both national and international competition in further.
